BLR readies for December with Pensacola run
In a tuneup for this winter’s prestigious Snowflake 100 at Five Flags Speedway, Bryson Lopez Racing (BLR) entered a pair of Pro Late Models at the half-mile oval in Pensacola, Florida, on Saturday evening. The two entries were part of a 21-car field on hand for the track's championship-night program.
Driving BLR’s No. 47 Atlanta Paving & Concrete Construction Chevrolet SS, Kaden Honeycutt qualified 10th for the Allen Turner Pro Late Model 100. When the race got underway he hovered around that spot in the early stages, but began to work his way forward as the event entered its final third. He cracked the top five on lap 90 and took the checkered flag fifth behind Jake Finch, Carson Brown, Seth Christensen and Zack Dixon.
Meanwhile, Honeycutt’s teammate Brandon Lopez was making his first start at the Pansacola track. He qualified his No. 6 Terminal Maintenance & Construction Chevrolet SS in 18th place and picked up two positions in the race to come home 16th.
